Brand New 1200/5A Current Transformer

Brand New 1200/5A Current Transformer Highlights

• Current Transformer Function: Current Transformers (CTs) are essential for measuring high currents in electrical systems. They step down the primary current to a safe, measurable level for meters and protective relays.
• Primary and Secondary Windings: CTs feature a primary winding, which is the conductor carrying the high current, and a secondary winding where the reduced current is induced. The ratio between these determines the transformation.
• Safety in High-Voltage Systems: By isolating measurement and protection devices from high voltages, CTs significantly enhance safety for personnel and equipment in power distribution and industrial applications.
• Accuracy and Performance: The accuracy class of a CT is crucial for reliable metering and protection. Higher accuracy classes ensure that the stepped-down current closely reflects the primary current.
• Application Versatility: Current Transformers are widely used in power substations, industrial plants, and utility grids for monitoring, control, and protection of electrical circuits.
