1953 Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Tankard - Hammered EPNS Antique

1953 Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Tankard - Hammered EPNS Antique Highlights

• Sterling Silver Plated: EPNS stands for Electro-Plated Nickel Silver. This indicates a base metal, typically nickel silver, coated with a layer of sterling silver for a lustrous finish.
• Hammered Finish: A hammered finish involves texturing the metal surface with a hammer. This technique adds visual interest and a tactile quality, often enhancing the play of light.
• Collectible Memorabilia: Items commemorating significant events like royal coronations are often sought after by collectors. They represent historical moments and can hold sentimental value.
• Durable Construction: Nickel silver is a strong alloy, and the silver plating provides a protective layer. This combination generally results in durable kitchenware that can withstand regular use.
• Hand Wash Recommended: To preserve the silver plating and prevent tarnishing, hand washing with mild soap and water is typically recommended for EPNS items. Avoid abrasive cleaners or dishwashers.
