3-Disc Nardi Plough - Green

3-Disc Nardi Plough - Green Highlights

• Disc Plough Functionality: Disc ploughs are designed to cut, break, and turn over soil. They are particularly effective in hard, dry, or sticky soils where mouldboard ploughs may struggle. The discs rotate, helping to reduce friction and penetrate the ground.
• Tillage Depth and Width: The working depth of a disc plough is adjustable, typically ranging from 15-25 cm. The width of cut per disc varies, and the overall working width of the implement depends on the number of discs and their spacing, influencing field coverage efficiency.
• Soil Penetration and Aeration: The angled discs create a slicing action that breaks up soil clods and inverts the furrow slice. This process helps to aerate the soil, improve water infiltration, and bury crop residue, which can contribute to soil health.
• Suitability for Different Soils: Disc ploughs are versatile and perform well in a variety of soil conditions, including heavy clay, sandy soils, and soils with significant trash or vegetation. Their ability to cut through roots and debris makes them suitable for initial land preparation.
• Maintenance Considerations: Regular maintenance is crucial for optimal performance. This includes checking and adjusting disc angle, ensuring bearings are lubricated, and sharpening or replacing discs when they become worn. Proper maintenance extends the lifespan of the implement.
