Ayam Cemani Chickens

Ayam Cemani Chickens Highlights

• Unique All-Black Plumage: Ayam Cemani chickens are renowned for their striking appearance, with black feathers, skin, comb, wattles, and even internal organs. This is due to a genetic mutation called fibromelanosis.
• Docile Temperament: These birds are generally known for their calm and docile nature, making them relatively easy to handle and manage, even for beginners.
• Moderate Egg Production: Ayam Cemani hens lay a moderate number of eggs, typically small to medium in size, with a creamy or light brown shell. They are not primarily bred for high egg yield.
• Adaptable to Various Climates: While they can tolerate a range of temperatures, providing adequate shelter from extreme heat and cold is beneficial for their health and well-being.
• Ornamental and Backyard Fowl: Due to their unique appearance and manageable temperament, Ayam Cemani are popular as ornamental birds and for backyard flocks, rather than for commercial meat or egg production.
