FireWire IEEE 1394 4-Pin Female to Female DV-OUT Cable Adapter Highlights

• IEEE 1394 Standard: FireWire, also known as IEEE 1394, is a high-speed serial bus interface standard. It was commonly used for connecting digital devices like camcorders and external hard drives.
• 4-Pin Connector: The 4-pin connector is a smaller version of the FireWire connector, typically used for devices that do not require external power. It's often found on smaller peripherals.
• Data Transfer Speeds: FireWire 400 (IEEE 1394a) offers theoretical data transfer speeds of up to 400 Mbps. This was significantly faster than USB 1.1 at the time of its introduction.
• Plug-and-Play Capability: FireWire devices are generally plug-and-play, meaning they can be connected and disconnected while the computer is running without needing to reboot. This allows for easy hot-swapping.
• DV-OUT Port Functionality: DV-OUT ports on devices like camcorders allow for the digital transfer of video and audio data. This adapter enables connection to systems with a compatible FireWire port.
