Original Shure SM7B Cardioid Dynamic Vocal Microphone

Original Shure SM7B Cardioid Dynamic Vocal Microphone Highlights

• Industry Standard Broadcast Mic: The Shure SM7B is a legendary cardioid dynamic microphone, widely adopted in broadcast, podcasting, and studio vocal recording for its exceptional clarity and warmth.
• Smooth Vocal Response: Its tailored frequency response features a presence boost that enhances vocals, making them cut through a mix without sounding harsh. This helps deliver a professional, polished sound.
• Excellent Off-Axis Rejection: The cardioid polar pattern effectively minimizes sound pickup from the sides and rear, reducing room noise and unwanted bleed. This allows for cleaner recordings, even in less-than-ideal acoustic environments.
• Internal Shock Mount: An integrated shock mount suspends the cartridge, isolating it from handling noise and vibrations. This ensures a clean signal path free from mechanical disturbances.
• Requires Significant Gain: Due to its relatively low output level, the SM7B typically requires a high-gain, clean preamplifier or a Cloudlifter/FetHead type device to reach optimal recording levels.
